Vancouver has no shortage of restaurants. You can find almost any cuisine within a 15-minute drive. But when it comes to weekly halal meal prep — actual home-style cooking that shows up at your door, ready to heat — the options are surprisingly limited. Most meal prep companies in Vancouver either don't offer halal, or they offer a token halal option buried at the bottom of a menu that clearly wasn't designed for Muslim families.
Last Summer Catering was built specifically around halal cooking. Every meal we prepare uses halal-sourced meat and poultry. We don't run a mixed kitchen. And our food draws from Turkish and Mediterranean traditions that most halal-conscious families actually want to eat.
Each week we publish a fresh menu of meals made from scratch in our commercial kitchen. You browse, pick what you want, and order by Thursday evening. On Sunday, your meals arrive at your Vancouver address in sealed, portioned containers — 28 oz each.
Reheat time is usually under five minutes. That means a proper, home-cooked halal dinner on a Tuesday night without touching a cutting board.
For people who want to automate the process, our weekly meal subscriptions handle everything. Pick your meals once, and they show up every week until you pause or cancel.
We rotate the menu weekly to keep things interesting, but the cooking style stays consistent: bold seasoning, real ingredients, generous protein, and Mediterranean and Turkish influences throughout.
Recent menu highlights have included: lamb kofta with herbed rice and roasted peppers, chicken shawarma bowls with garlic sauce and pickled vegetables, braised beef cheeks in a tomato-based stew, Turkish pide-style flatbread wraps, grilled vegetable mezze plates with hummus and baba ghanoush, and slow-cooked lentil and chickpea soups.

Our Vancouver customer base is diverse. Young professionals living in condos downtown who don't have time (or kitchen space) to cook elaborate meals. Families in East Vancouver and South Vancouver who want halal food their kids will actually eat. Grad students at UBC who are tired of the campus food rotation. Parents in Kitsilano and Dunbar who want something healthier than takeout but faster than cooking from scratch.
The common thread: they care about eating halal, they care about flavour, and they don't want to spend every evening in the kitchen.
We deliver across all Vancouver neighbourhoods every Sunday:
Downtown, West End, Yaletown, Kitsilano, Point Grey, Dunbar, Kerrisdale, Marpole, Oakridge, South Cambie, Riley Park, Mount Pleasant, Grandview-Woodland, Hastings-Sunrise, Renfrew-Collingwood, Killarney, Victoria-Fraserview, Sunset, and South Vancouver.
Our delivery zone covers all of Metro Vancouver including Surrey, Burnaby, Langley, Richmond, Coquitlam, Delta, New Westminster, and White Rock.
Individual meals typically range from $12-$18 per 28 oz container. That's a full meal — protein, starch, and sides — not a snack-sized portion.
One-time orders have no minimum and no commitment. Subscriptions lock in your weekly meals with the flexibility to pause or cancel anytime.
For context: ordering halal delivery through a food app in Vancouver typically runs $30-50 per person once you factor in markups, delivery fees, and tips. Our meal prep costs roughly a third of that for comparable (often larger) portions.
Beyond weekly meals, we provide full halal catering services for events across Vancouver. Wedding receptions, corporate lunches, Eid gatherings, community events, birthday parties — we've done them all.
Our catering packages include Turkish buffet spreads, grilled kebab platters, and custom menus designed around your event. Contact us for a custom quote.
